YES Institute has an evolving relationship with the University of Miami (UM), one of the nation’s top private research universities. Professors from various disciplines continue to incorporate YES education into their curricula, committed to preparing students with the most up-to-date knowledge on gender and orientation.

YES Institute has recently been invited by student leaders at the Miller School of Medicine to present to medical students as they begin to recognize the need for education on issues in healthcare related to gender and orientation. At a recent YES presentation, a medical student commented, “This discussion cleared up a lot of questions I’ve been afraid to ask. This education isn’t provided anywhere else in our curriculum.” Read more here.

Students in the Educational and Psychological Studies Department have the opportunity to intern at YES Institute, earning college credit while making a difference in the community. In this internship program, students gain valuable training in our unique communication and education models, working closely with YES staff on projects that highlight their specific talents and interests.
